About Shunryu Suzuki
Shunryu Suzuki was a Japanese Zen Buddhist monk, teacher and author who is best known for his book, Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind.
Suzuki was a student of Harada Sogaku before becoming a priest at the age of 27, and remained a priest at the San Francisco Zen Center in California until his death in 1971.
Suzuki is credited with introducing Zen Buddhism to the Western world, and his book has been translated into many languages and is considered one of the most important works on Zen Buddhism.
