4 Key Lessons from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy by Rebecca Crane
Acceptance is a powerful tool in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
It is important to accept our thoughts and feelings without judgment, in order to better understand them, and to be able to move past them.
This allows us to be more mindful of our experiences and to let go of the stories we tell ourselves about them.
Observation is another key concept in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
Observing our thoughts and feelings without judgment allows us to gain insight into our inner world and to become more aware of our reactions to situations.
This allows us to be more mindful in our decisions and reactions.
When we are curious about our experiences, we are more likely to respond to them in a different way.
Curiosity encourages us to look at our experiences from different perspectives, and to explore our reactions in an open and non-judgmental way.
Compassion is an important part of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
It is important to be compassionate towards ourselves, as well as towards others.
This can help us to be less judgmental and to be kinder to ourselves and others.
Compassion can help us to be more understanding and accepting of our experiences, and to be more mindful of our reactions.
