About Matthew Josephson
Matthew Josephson was an American journalist, biographer, and historian, who was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1899.
He wrote numerous works of non-fiction, including “Edison: A Biography” which was published in 1959, and is considered one of the most comprehensive and authoritative works on the life and achievements of Thomas Edison.
Josephson won the Pulitzer Prize in 1934 for his biographical work on the industrialist, banker, and philanthropist, Pierre S. du Pont. He died in 1978.
